Care Guide: White Non-Iron Dress Shirts
100% Cotton | Non-Iron Treated | Taped Seams | 3.5 Wrinkle-Resistance Rating
Our non-iron dress shirts are designed to stay crisp, white, and wrinkle-free with minimal effort. Follow the care tips below to keep them looking sharp and performing at their best—wear after wear.
Washing Instructions
- Machine wash cold with like colors
- Use a gentle, bleach-free detergent
- Recommended: Tide Free & Gentle, Persil Sensitive Skin, Seventh Generation Free & Clear
- Avoid fabric softeners and optical brighteners – they can reduce wrinkle resistance and lead to yellowing
- Tumble dry low or hang to dry promptly
- Do not dry clean – solvents can damage the non-iron finish
Pre-Treating Stains
For best results, pre-treat high-friction areas like the collar, cuffs, and underarms before washing:
- Light buildup: Use a stain remover like Shout Triple-Acting Spray or OxiClean MaxForce
- Deeper discoloration: Soak in cold water with OxiClean White Revive for 1–6 hours before washing
What to Avoid
- Chlorine bleach – weakens fabric and causes yellowing
- High heat – sets in stains and damages the non-iron finish
- Harsh detergents – may leave residue and reduce longevity
Real Talk: Can I Wash Them Like Everything Else?
Yes—many customers do wash these shirts in warm or hot water with regular detergent, and the shirts generally look fine. But over time, this can lead to premature yellowing, reduced wrinkle resistance, and shorter fabric life.
If you want the shirt to look its best and last the longest, follow the care tips above.
